Whats a Beattitude Mom and how I came to be one?
I live in a transtional housing in Northeast Ohio in a program called The Beatitude House. My road to being here is a long and rough one. I have lived all over the state of Ohio in various domestic violence shelters in an attempt too restart a new life with out my estranged husband. I during my 5 year marraige have had three little boys: Christoper Nathaniel (passed away shortly after birth), Joshua Lee (3 years old) and Ethan Thomas (18 months). My youngest son is my reason for wanting to improve my life and his smiles, hugs and kisses give me the strength to get through every day. I have been living on my own for almost a year now and my divorce is almost final. The next step after my divorce is to bring my Joshua home, he currently lives with my parents who live an hour and a half away. This is the short version of how I got here now more detail on what a Beattitude mom is. The Beatitiude House is a non profit organization that helpes disadvantaged woman and children http://www.beatitudehouseonline.org/. I have had my own apartment since July 16 and life just keeps getting better now that I am free to do it on my own but still have the support of the program to help with getting used to staying in one place. My major struggle with my day to day life is my Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I have recently been seeing all of these blogs and even won a beautiful duffle bag at the beging of Febuary. The blogs I follow inspired me to share my story and struggles of single parenthood that I might be able help someone who was in a similar place.
